পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর জেলার ঘাটাল মহকুমার খড়ার পৌরসভার মধ্যে মাঝি পাড়ায় যে মন্দিরগুলি গড়ে উঠেছে তার মধ্যে সীতা রামের ১৩ রত্ন মন্দিরটি উল্লেখযোগ্য। এই মন্দিরের পাশেই দুটি শিব মন্দির আছে।
শশীশেখর এবং মৃত্যুঞ্জয় শিবের মন্দির দুটি আটচালা।
মন্দির দুটির বিশেষ বৈশিষ্ট্য এর প্রতিষ্ঠা লিপি গুলি থেকে কবে কে মন্দিরটি প্রতিষ্ঠা করেছেন এবং প্রতিষ্ঠার কারিগর কারা ছিলেন তাদের কোথায় নিবাস এ সম্পর্কে সমস্ত তথ্যই পাওয়া যায়।
মন্দির দুটির গর্ভ গৃহে প্রবেশের দরজা গুলি কাঠের এবং কারুকার্য খচিত। দরজার দুপাশে দ্বারপাল নারী ও পুরুষের মূর্তি আছে।
শশীশেখর মন্দিরে দুটি লিপি আছে। একটি লিপি এইরকম -
"শ্রী শ্রী ৺ শিব মন্দির /শকাব্দা ১৮২৭/সন১৩১২ সাল/ তারিখ ২৪ বৈশাখ/ পরিচারক / শ্রী বেহারিলাল মাজি / সাং রায়েরডাঙ্গা"
মৃত্যুঞ্জয় শিব মন্দিরে এরকম দুটি লিপি আছে । তার একটি এইরকম। -
"শ্রী শ্রী ৺ শিব মন্দির /শ্রী শশীভূষণ মিস্ত্রী/সাং দাসপুর /ও শ্রী তিনকড়ি /মিস্ত্রী/ সাং সেনহাট"
Among the temples built in Majhi Para in Khadar Municipality of Ghatal Subdivision of Paschim Medinipur District, the 13 Ratna ( pinaclled) Temple of Sita Ram is notable. There are two Shiva temples next to this temple.
The temples of Shashi Shekhar and Mrityunjay Shiva are two at Atchala temples.
The special features of the two temples are their foundation inscriptions, which provide all the information about when and who founded the temple, who the builders were, and where they lived.
The doors leading to the sanctum sanctorum of both temples are wooden and intricately carved. On either side of the door are statues of male and female gatekeepers.
There are two inscriptions in the Shashishekhar temple. One of the inscriptions is as follows -
Śrī śrī ৺ śiba mandira/śakābdā 1827/sana1312 sāla/ tārikha 24 baiśākha/ paricāraka/ śrī bēhārilāla māji/ sāṁ rāẏēraḍāṅgā"
There are two such inscriptions in Mrityunjaya Shiva Temple. One of them is like this. -
Śrī śrī ৺ śiba mandira/śrī śaśībhūṣaṇa mistrī/sāṁ dāsapura/ō śrī tinakaṛi/mistrī/ sāṁ sēnahāṭa"
