মালদা জেলার গৌড়ে চন্দনগড় এলাকায় চিকা মসজিদ নামক স্থাপত্যটি অবস্থিত। এই স্থাপত্যটি চিকা মসজিদ নামে পরিচিত হলেও এটি কোন মসজিদ নয় বলেই বিশেষজ্ঞরা অভিমত দিয়েছেন। এর অন্যতম কারণ হলো যে এর ভেতরে মসজিদের মতো কোন মেহরাব নেই।
কোন কোন বিশেষজ্ঞ অবনটিকে কারাগার বলে অভিহিত করেছিলেন আবার অনেকে রাজকার্যের জন্য ব্যবহৃত কোন কক্ষ হিসেবে একে বর্ণিত করেছেন।
খবরটির বাইরের দিকে চকচকে মিনা করা ইটের উজ্জলের জন্যই সম্ভবত লোকমুখে একটি চিকা নামে পরিচিত হয়েছে। বর্গাকার এই ভবনে চার কোণে চারটি বুরুজ রয়েছে এবং চারদিকে চারটি দরজা আছে।। এক গম্বুজ বিশিষ্ট এই স্থাপত্যটি খুবই সুন্দর।.
