মালদা জেলার গৌড়ে ইংলিশ বাজার থানায় রামকেলি গ্রামে এই স্থাপত্যটি অবস্থিত। এই মসজিদটি অবশ্যই গৌড়ের অন্যতম শ্রেষ্ঠ স্থাপত্য। মসজিদের সামনে খিলান দ্বারা স্থাপিত ১১ টি উন্মুক্ত দরজা আছে। যদিও আর্কিওলজিক্যাল সার্ভে অফ ইন্ডিয়া মন্দির পরিচিতি বোর্ডের লেখা আছে যে বারটি দরজা সহ একটি বিল্ডিং কিন্তু ১১ টি মাত্র খোলা আছে। এর একটি অন্য ব্যাখ্যাও আছে। রাজধানীর প্রত্যন্ত প্রদেশ রামকেলি অঞ্চলে এই বাইরের দুয়ারে ছিল বলে এর নাম বারদুয়ারী।
মসজিদের মূল প্রবেশ পথ ৩৮ ফুট ৫ ইঞ্চি বাই ১৩ ফুট ৫ ইঞ্চি উচ্চতা ২২ ফুট।এক সময় মূল মসজিদের তিনদিকে (পূর্ব , উত্তর এবং দক্ষিণ) তিনটি প্রবেশ পথ ছিল বর্তমানে একটি অক্ষত আছে।
সামগ্রিকভাবে মসজিদের মেহরাব , খিলান ও গম্বুজের ভিতরের স্থাপত্য অতি মনোরম,। এক সময় ফুলের মটিফ দিয়ে কিছু সজ্জা এখানে ছিল।
মসজিদের উপরে একসময় ৩৩ টি গম্বুজ ছিল সেগুলো উজ্জ্বল বর্ণে আবৃত ছিল অথবা সোনা দিয়ে অলংকৃত ছিল তাই এর আর এক নাম বড় সোনা মসজিদ।
This structure is located in Ramkeli village under English Bazar police station in Gaur, Malda district. This mosque is definitely one of the best structures in Gaur. There are 11 open doors set by arches in front of the mosque.Although the Archaeological Survey of India Temple Identification Board states that it is a building with twelve doors, only 11 are open. There is another explanation for this.It was named Barduari because it was located at this outer gate in the Ramkeli region, a remote province of the capital.
The main entrance of the mosque is 38 feet 5 inches in length and 13 feet 5 inches in width and 22 feet high. At one time, there were three entrances on three sides (east, north and south) of the main mosque, currently only one is intact.
Overall, the architecture of the mosque's interior, including the arch, dome, and niches, is very beautiful. At one time, there were some decorations with floral motifs.
The mosque once had 33 domes, which were covered in bright colors or decorated with gold, hence its other name, the Baro Sona Masjid.
