হুগলি জেলার বলাগর ব্লকে অবস্থিত এখানকার বিখ্যাত এক গ্রাম গুপ্তিপাড়া। মুকুন্দরাম চক্রবর্তী বিরোচিত চন্ডীমঙ্গল কাব্যে এই স্থানের উল্লেখ রয়েছে। একসময় সংস্কৃত চর্চার পিঠস্থান ছিল এই গুপ্তিপাড়া।
চারদিকে এক বিশাল প্রাচীর ঘেরা জায়গায় যে মন্দিরগুলি অবস্থান করছে তার মধ্যে অন্যতম বৃন্দাবন চন্দ্র মন্দিরটি।গুপ্তিপাড়ার মঠ তারকেশ্বরের শৈব মঠের অধীন। মঠটি দশনামি শৈব সম্প্রদায় পরিচালনা করলেও এখানকার দেবতা হচ্ছে বৃন্দাবন চন্দ্র।
এই মন্দিরের একপাশে রামচন্দ্র মন্দির আর এক পাশে কৃষ্ণচন্দ্র মন্দির।
বৃন্দাবন চন্দ্র অর্থাৎ কৃষ্ণ এবং শ্রীরাধার মূর্তি এখানে পূজিত হয়।
বৃন্দাবন চন্দ্র মন্দির কে কেন্দ্র করে অত্যন্ত সমারোহে রথযাত্রা অনুষ্ঠিত হয় এবং এটি বাংলার এক বিশিষ্ট অনুষ্ঠান।
দক্ষিণ মুখী আটচালা এই মন্দিরটি বাঁ কানো কার্নিশ যুক্ত। ঢোকার মুখে ছিলাম ইসলামী স্থাপত্য রীতির প্রভাব রয়েছে।
Guptipara is a famous village located in Balagarh block of Hooghly district. This place is mentioned in Mukundaram Chakraborty's verse Chandimangal. Guptipara was once a center of Sanskrit scholars .The Vrindavan Chandra Temple is one of the temples located within in a large boundary. The Guptipara Math is under the Shaiva Math of Tarakeswar. Although the Math is run by the Dashanami Shaiva sect, the deity here is Vrindavan Chandra.On one side of this temple is the Ramchandra Temple and on the other side is the Krishnachandra Temple.
The idols of Vrindavan Chandra, i.e. Krishna and Shri Radha, are worshipped here.The Rath Yatra is held with great pomp and ceremony centered around the Vrindavan Chandra Temple and is a prominent event in Bengal.
This south-facing temple has a curved cornice. The entrance is influenced by Islamic architectural styles.
