উপরি কাঠামোহীন ( without superstructure) সমতল ছাদ বিশিষ্ট মন্দিরের আরেকটি রূপ দেখা যায় , যেগুলি আকারে বৃহৎ এবং সাধারণত দালান মন্দির নামে পরিচিত। এরমধ্যে যে বিভাজনগুলি আছে সেগুলি হল সম্প্রসারিত সম্মুখভাগ এবং বৃহৎ চাঁদনী বা দালান ঘরানা।
